    The great thing about Watchmen is that it's the only serious comic book that realistically portrays what flesh and blood humans look like in spandex costumes -- that is, totally ridiculous. (A fact, I'd argue, that's well born out in most of the publicity photos for the movie.)

    @lightninglouie: you're right... but that's a big part of it... they are completely aware of the fact that they don't have powers... they're NOT invincible...


    They're just regular people who fight crime. They age, they get fat, their hair grays...


    Besides Dr. Manhattan, it's all pretty realistic.
