Further, we've all already seen it in theaters; the big reason behind the Wolverine leak was that no one knew exactly what it was going to be like and wanted to find out...now it doesn't matter as much.
Frankly the only two movies that DIDN'T flop critically this summer were Star Trek and if you go back to spring, Watchmen.
Went up as a group with my scifi club to watch it in the upper west side, then went to a chinese restaurant post-movie to discuss Nite Owl 2's sloppy chinese food eating. What a time that was...

Agreed: by all accounts ([www.boxofficemojo.com]) it's been $50M in profit internationally, which is hardly a failure. did they want/expect more? oh sure: but the real money is in DVD sales, which is a license to print cash.

$182,735,282 on a budget of $130 million (+ god only know how much in promotion, possibly as much as $50 million(more?)) does NOT push this film into 'profit' - the studio(s) get only about 50% of the BO = $90 million.
