1) It is not based on the comic itself, it's a prequel.
2) The comic might make you forget, but there WAS a time when the Crime Busters actually fought crime and busted heads. That's sorta what vigilantes do most of the time.
I love the comic, but I'm not gonna damn this game just because it exists. Same applies to the movie. I'm not expecting deep insightful analyzation of philosophy in the game. As long as the gameplay is solid and the writing is serviceable, I'll be happy. Will it be Moore-caliber writing? Probably not, but if it isn't BAD writing that's good enough for me. Moore is a genius, but he's also kind of a stuck-up elitist concerning things like this.

The thing is, there's no reason why classic literature and video games can't go together, or even do so well. Watchman in itself is no different.
The problem, however, is that the comic has a very specific anti-...er everything, really, all of this merchandising and what not message to it. This runs squarely against that message. It's like the All Quiet on the Western Front FPS.

THIS game in particular seems pretty bad, sure. doesn't mean a good game can't be made.
any ideas?

The rendering-blubber minigame left something to be desired, I felt, though I got the "From Hell's heart I stab at thee" Achievement the first time I played it.

I love Moore, and he deserves all accolades for his brilliance. However, I was VERY excited for Lost Girls and rarely have I been so disappointed in an icon's work.

the book was way worse than the movie though.... and by worse I mean more graphic - but it was better to experience because books are generally (and infinitely) more often than their film adaptations....
WHICH BRINGS ME TO WATCHMEN...
