'This is a Master "who's lived and died, and now lives again — although he's seen healthier days," explains Simm. "He's desperate, and desperate means dangerous."'
Sooo...this is basically the same Master from The Deadly Assassin/The Keeper of Traken, minus the decaying flesh?
@ManchuCandidate: Yeah, but the Time Lords sort of do that, don't they? At least, when they go rogue they do. The Rani ("rani" means "queen"), the Medding Monk, the War Chief, the Master, the Doctor. The Doctor is hardly original among Time Lords for picking a noun as an alias.
@EugeniaBSG: @ManchuCandidate: I figure it's like Fight Club and at the end of the specials we'll find out that the Narrator is really someone important, like Rassilon or a future Doctor, and giving him a name in the credits will spoil the big twist.
@ManchuCandidate: Hell, they've had The Meddling Monk, The Rani... it fits with the nickname scheme. I think it hints back to Time Lords 'dumbing things down' for us lesser Universe dwellers. We know they have Galllifreyan names (they've hinted at it before), but they don't or can;t reveal them to the Universe.
It sort of rings of some of the things in Hitchhiker's Guide, actually. Maybe that's just how the Babel Fish translates it. LOL
@Makidian: Hmmm... if the Hulk appears but not Bruce Banner, is that a Norton credit? Did they use his face at all for the Hulk? I don't recall that they did.
@Lassus: Yeah my comment says Bruce Banner/Hulk much like the rumor above says Loki will be mind controlling Bruce Banner making the Hulk wreck everything in sight. At some point they would have to be showing Bruce Banner as Bruce Banner. In that moment I want it to be Edward Norton. I don't care if it's a five minute cameo, but consistency through all the franchises is important and cutting Norton out would be shameful. For me it would be the same as if they cut out RDJ as Iron and used someone else, because you know, his face isn't on his mask....
@Makidian: Eh. I guess I see little need for Norton for a 20-minute Hulk destructo-fest. If they can't cleverly write their way around that it seems kind of lame.
@Burke: I believe that Eric Bana's Hulk doesn't count since the new Hulk was the reboot intended to follown the current franchise films.
@ Lassus I am not saying that Norton needs to be in there for a long time but for consistency sake I would like to see Norton as the Hulk. For me it just ties the movies and characters together more effectively and I would rather see Norton as Bruce when he changes back, simple as that. I am not asking that he have large and unneccessary role in the movie.
@entropymaker probably lol, but it takes a lot to really piss me off.
I love that there are so many superhero movies in development, even if they all suck.
Also, I swear, when I saw the heading for the V spoiler, I thought for a split second they were remaking V for Vendetta, perhaps happening in America or something.
"...hiding a secret that threatens the Destiny and her crew." OH FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST, REALLY?
@Davio:
Well there's the animated 6-parter "Dreamland" that just ended, and a Doctor Who-themed episode of "The Weakest Link". The animated one looks a bit strange, but tolerable. Haven't had a chance to watch the game show yet, just downloaded it tonight.
@Goldenboy666: Damn it, you beat me to it, but yeah, I totally agree. He's one of those people you wouldn't think of immediately, but as soon as you hear it, it just sounds right.
I'm guessing: Dr Rush - in a crewman's quarters - with a pistol.
And, despite dropping Flash(In The Pan)Forward from my viewing list, I watched those clips. Show of hands: Does anyone feel the full episode will add anything else?
@Julius Seizure - Gall Bladder Free: My guess is the killer is Franklin (the scientist who puked during exercise). He has a personal grudge against the bald sergeant and hates the military enough to frame Young.
The FlashForward episode will have a "shocking twist" in the last minute. Otherwise the clips are probably the high points of the episode.
@LiC: The preview strongly hinted he is the victim (hour late for duty) and he is disliked by a lot of people on Destiny (including Young). And to be brutally honest, it's Stargate. I don't expect a clever Agatha Christie mystery (but at least a Jessica Fletcher level).
Hiroyuki Sanada has been turning up in a number of U.S. productions in recent years, something I keep hoping his RINGU/RASEN co-star Miki Nakatani would do as I've read that she speaks perfect English.

I like The Master vs The Doctor, but The Narrator sounds rather lame.
This makes the Timelords out to be like the Smurfs where each of them is named after what they do.

We know which actor next plays the Doctor, maybe The Master regenerates into Timothy Dalton. (He actually is good at playing villains.)

Maybe we need some sort of quest-based story arc again, like "The Key to Time"
