    You know, they can blab all they want about who did what and what did who, but in the end, it's still available for free (illegally) online. I don't see how this will drum up Blu-Ray/DVD sales.

    Right on! No doubt Hugh Jackman slipped this poor young man some roofies and tricked him in to working for his movie with the promise of a percentage. Oh cruel fate!

    If you are going to make a fake video like this spend a few minutes and write a more sensible script. It's like someone handed him the ski mask and said, "Dude, uh, just make something up. It'll sound more realer and stuff, y'know?"

    I'll say fake - if only because the ski mask doesn't really hide this guys identity at all...


    and as for the motivation - I work in VFX and this kind of thinking is around, but only by a very small percentage of very young and very naive people...the reality of the film industry is just like any other...'fair' has nothing to do with it.

    Fake, I'm sure... but the one I thing I am certain about is that when they do catch the guy (gal?), the studios will make certain that the punishment is beyond anything we can imagine. They have to set an example right now or this thing will happen again sooner than later.


    I really wouldn't want to be that person right now.

    I've seen tons of places with the workprint of the movie but I've decided to watch first anyway on the theather, mostly because i've predisposed myself to think that the movie is going to be so bad that the best thing of it are going to be the special effects. And i'm mostly sure that it's gonna be fun even if i cringe a little.


    The other thing is that i have an unlimited access card to the cinema here, so it's a no brainer. I'll watch the movie today, actually.

    I remember when the workprint for the first episode of Doctor Who leaked to the internet weeks before it originally aired. Russel T Davies swore up and down that it was an early pre-air version without finished special effects, etc... Which, of course, turned out to be completely untrue. (though it was almost believable at the time, since some of the CGI looked so horrible)


    The thing is, producers lie. It's in their job description. Even if the movie turns out to be a giant steaming pile of crap, they're required to step up to the plate and claim it's the greatest movie ever and the highlight of their career.
