The Beautiful Klingon Designs JJ Abrams Rejected for Star Trek 2S

Stare into the fierce eyes of the revamped Klingon race from Star Trek Into Darkness, as they could have been. They're all kind of beautiful, and it's kind of too bad we didn't see these versions on the big screen.

These were designed by artist Neville Page, who had this to say about his twist on the classic Klingon look:

This first round of images are some of the development of the Klingons. This was a very important assignment for me because I knew how important it was to the fans of the franchise. It was a delicate balance of respecting the established looks from previous incarnations yet delivering something appropriate for JJ's film... Part of my self induced criteria was to do a cleaner version (especially regarding the forehead) and to make them sexy (or sexier if you already find them sexy!)

We've got a whole heap of designs (plus a few different beard options) — and there's even more on Page's website.
