The Biblical Whore Of Babylon Must Prevent A Second Demonic Apocalypse

It's not easy being Babylon the Great, the Mother of Prostitutes and Abominations of the Earth and star of the webcomic Mystery Babylon. She has to deal with cultists who worship her, crusaders who want to kill her, and a seal that could release all of the demons—her former friends—into the world again.

Val Hochberg's Mystery Babylon is a fun fantasy romp through a loosely Revelations-inspired post-apocalyptic setting. Kick Girl, also known as Mystery Babylon, is a demon who has been hanging around for more than a thousand years, since before the rest of demonkind triggered an apocalypse. Since then, the demons have been sealed in a pit, and according to prophecy, Kick Girl is the only one who can break the seal. She has devoted her long and lonely life to avoiding humanity and ensuring that the demons remain behind that seal.

The only problem is that she can't remember where the seal is.

In order to find it, she'll need to team up with Zero, a naive priest a religion that has mistaken a superhero for an Olympian god, and Judas, an apparent member of a doomsday cult that has sprung up around her. And if her disdain for her supposed allies wasn't enough, she has to travel through the ruins of a world whose history she alone remembers, haunted by memories of friends who are either dead or sealed in a hell pit.

Kick has sworn to make sure the pit is never opened and the demons never return to the world. But she one prophecy says she will break the seal while another says she will be the world's savior. In this world of distorted history, could the prophecies be true? Can Kick escape her fate? Or will she fulfill all of her fates?
