The Heroes Sequel TV Series Is Getting A Prequel Series

Tim Kring is looking to "bridge the gap" between the mostly terrible Heroes TV series and whatever horrors he has planned for the 13-episode series Heroes Reborn. Thus as part of NBC's giant push into digital content, Kring is producing a new webisode series prequel to the show.

You may remember the original Heroes had several webisode series, which were notable for never having anything to do with the main series and for having plots that almost solely centered around Sprint cellphones in some of the least subtle product placement in history.

On the other hand, NBC is also making a comedic webisode series about Nikola Tesla and Mark Twain getting transported to modern-day Los Angeles, which will either be even worse than Heroes or the best thing ever.
