Agents of SHIELD

Season Premiere: In The Flesh
What: Set after a terrible zombie infection ravages most of the UK this series follows one of the soon-to-be-many rehabilitated "Rotters" as he attempts to assimilate back into a very reluctant society. The infected are given makeup and drugs to keep their identities hidden and to prevent them from going "rabid" again. But many of the victims are haunted by their past, and their neighbors. Season 2 will have more episodes than the short first season, and the show continues to follow main character Kieren, as he attempts to get on with his second life.

What: An hour long drama set during the 17th Century Massachusetts witch trials. The whole thing is penned by Brannon Braga (Star Trek: TNG and 24) and Adam Simon. Watch the first trailer here.

The first teaser trailer shows actress Eva Green praying and possibly writhing about under the spell of some demon. Feels a bit like American Horror Story, and we think that's a very good thing!

What: A collaboration between J.J. Abrams and Alfonso Cuaron — and the Gravity director actually directed this pilot centered around a little girl with phenomenal abilities and her protector. Granted, this show has had its bout of troubles, losing two showrunners before the series has even premiered, but the trailer still looks pretty decent. Fingers crossed for this drama.

What: Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan's vampire mystery book comes to life on the small screen. But don't expect sexy Dracula to cameo in a silken cape — these monsters are vile and defecate all over the place when they feed. The vampire hordes live in the sewers of New York, and its up to our heroes to stomp out the infestation. A few viral videos have already started making the rounds for this series, and it has us very excited.

What: The Canadian time traveling series hell bent on stopping a future revolution in 2077 will screen in the states thanks to Syfy, this summer.

What: Starring Halle Berry, this Steven Spielberg-produced series takes place after Berry returns to her family from a mission in outer space... and she has a mysterious pregnancy. CBS went straight to series with this drama buying a 13 episodes, now all they have to do is deliver.

Series Premiere: Grand Central
What: Inspired by Stephen King's short story, two Haven writers Sam Ernst and Jim Dunn reportedly pitched a series about a widow who receives a telephone call from her dead husband. The ghost not only describes the after life but predicts (and helps prevent) a collection of future tragedies. It was rumored that Grand Central was on the "straight to series" pickup track. But we're not sure what happened to it now.

Season Premiere: Falling Skies
What: Apparently at the end of the world the only things left will be cockroaches and this series. You cannot kill this show.

What: Ron D. Moore's return to television! Based off of the books by Diana Gabaldon, this show takes place after a World War 2 nurse falls through a time portal and lands in 18th Century Scotland. It's got romance, time travel, bloodshed, kilts and a ravenous reader fan base. So RDM better get this right or I know a mob of ladies who will be piiiiissed. Color us intrigued, plus who doesn't love a man in plaid with an accent!

Series Premiere: The Leftovers
What: Based off the book by Election Tom Perrotta, the author has teamed up with Damon Lindelof to bring this series to life. Set after the great rapture the series will focus on the Earth's leftovers, those who didn't get into heaven. And we get to see what happens when you realize there is a higher power, and you're screwed. The cast is fantastic and includes Christopher Eccleston, Liv Tyler, and Justin Theroux. HBO ordered up a 10-episode series, but has remained mum on the premiere date.

Series Premiere: Star Wars Rebels
What: Set in between Episode III and Episode IV, this will be Disney's first official piece of Star Wars. The CG animated series certainly is pretty, but we're much more nervous about the oncoming live action films to even concentrate on new Jedi characters. However, if this will fill the hole in our hearts left by the cancelation of Clone Wars, so be it.

What: Originally slated as a backdoor pilot that would branch out of the very popular Arrow series, The CW decided to give Barry Allen his very own standalone pilot due to the massive popularity the character received after he was introduced. Which means more time with actor Grant Gustin, but it will be a bit longer until we see him in the big red suit.

Series Premiere: The Last Ship
What: Michael Bay is producing, Jonathan Mostow (Terminator 3, Surrogates) is directing, and the premise is bat shit insane. Based on the novel by William Brinkley, the series will follow the U.S. Navy vessel on Earth that survives a global catastrophe. The crew floats all over the Earth looking for sanctuary and other survivors. But of course, everything goes to hell on said ship.
