These vegetables are not what they seem.

Despite all appearances to the contrary, this is not a cucumber stuffed with a banana.

It's a painting of a cucumber, cleverly drawn on top of a banana and it's the work of Tokyo-based artist Hikaru Cho.

Besides the cucumber-banana, she's also done a cherry tomato that is a dead ringer for an orange and, in an admirable display of wordplay, an egg/eggplant (which earns extra artistic points for doubling as a visual pun.)

Also, I kind of want to taste that clementine-cherry tomato thing.
