Avengers: Age of Ultron

At the screening for Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Age of Ultron footage, Marvel's Kevin Feige spoke about the new Avengers Tower and the Hulkbuster armor. For the Hulkbuster, Feige said that it's one of "six or seven" signature bits that made it from Joss Whedon's original outline. The new Tower he described this way:

Last time we saw Stark Tower, from The Avengers, it had gotten beat up a little bit thanks to Hulk and thanks to Loki and the Chituari, and Pepper and Tony were standing over a table looking at plans" he explained. "That's where we pulled out and all the letters had fallen away except the 'A' in Stark. So what they were doing was retro-fitting for The Avengers. And that's what we see in this next film.

S.H.I.E.L.D. is gone – for people who are following along. S.H.I.E.L.D. was disbanded and brought down at the end of The Winter Soldier because it turned out to not be the best organisation ever. So Tony's bank-rolling The Avengers now. And he's bank-rolling their headquarters. So it's now Avengers Tower.

Tony designed it so in addition to a hanger for a brand-new Quinjet, laboratories, places where he can build and store his Iron Man suits, there are I believe two bars. Beautiful multiple space living rooms which are perfect for parties and social gatherings. But it's a primary location in the film this time around.

Only two bars? Really? [IGN]

And here are a few set photos, with the building unidentified, but it could be Fort Bard in Northern Italy. We do know that the production filmed in Northern Italy earlier this year. More at the link. [Super Hero Hype]

Agent Carter

Super Hero Hype spoke with showrunners Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas about the upcoming series. While the two say that there are "parameters" for the show from Marvel, there is no set date that the show can't go beyond. They went on to say that they like where they are in the grand scheme of Marvel continuity:

Fazekas: I will say, the nice thing about "Agent Carter" being set in the '40s is it predates a lot of the Marvel universe. As you know, the guys who wrote "Captain America" 1, 2 and are now writing 3, wrote the pilot. So they know that universe very well. So I don't feel like we're hamstrung by anything. I think there's a lot of room to play and a lot of room to be creative with the story.

Butters: And also, it allows us, the movies were such a wonderful set up for the series. There is definitely something to draw on from "Captain America" 1 and 2, and hopefully that there are characters and people that are set up there that we'll hopefully see in our universe. I think that she's such a wonderful character. She's strong, she's independent, but she's in a world where, after the war, a strong and independent woman isn't what people want. So I think there's a fun emotional story that we get to play with in the series.

As for how the series will connect with the rest of the universe, given that, unlike Agents of SHIELD's first season, there won't be a movie coming out during their run to contend with, Fazekas said:

But I will say, Marvel is very much about synergy and synergy between their properties. We know a lot of the writers on "S.H.I.E.L.D." because we worked with them on other shows. We know Jeff Bell, we know Paul Z. We know Maurissa and Jed. We worked on "Dollhouse" with them. So I think if there's room for synergy, if there's room for little things between the shows, I think everybody's open to that. If we can find it and it makes sense, it's organic and it doesn't just look like a gimmick.

Resurrection

The two producers also talked about their other ABC show, Resurrection. While season one was about setting up the town's reaction to the returned, season two is about the "new world order," while still focusing on the town of Arcadia. Said Fazekas about the stories they'll tell:

We don't ever want to make it bigger than the stories that we told in the first season which were the emotional stories about the people in this town and about Omar Epps' character and the boy, so you want to be really careful not to make it so vague that it's like this worldwide conspiracy. Even if eventually seasons and life does happen outside of Arcadia, which I'm not saying it does but it's on the table, we will will always be telling these emotional, personal stories of how it affects the people that we love on the show.

There will also be a new character who has a "huge effect" on the Langstons. [Super Hero Hype]

Agents of SHIELD

Season 2 could see the return of Miles Lydon, the Rising Tide member and Skye's ex-boyfriend, as part of the underground SHIELD is forced to mine for whatever resources they can muster. "A huge part of Coulson's job right now is to sort of reach out and try to find all the resources he can get. Does the Rising Tide play into that? Maybe," said Maurissa Tancharoen.

The next season will also continue the paranoia from the end of season one. Said Jeffrey Bell:

Once we could say 'HYDRA' and there were double-crosses and spies in our midst, the show got really interesting, and so [we're] continuing that with SHIELD and Coulson not willing to trust people and not willing to bring people in, but having to because he doesn't have as many resources; we think we can keep that 'trust no one' alive.

There won't, however, be another massive event: "Fortunately there will not be a movie that comes out that destroys SHIELD, so our approach is definitely different this year. In terms of game-changers, that's hard to beat," said Jed Whedon. [Zap2It]

Grimm

Added to the cast of the next season is Elizabeth Rodriguez, as Special Agent Chavez, one of four FBI agents assigned to investigate the death of Weston. It'll be revealed that she has a lot more invested in the case than the average agent. [TV Line]
