This summer, TNT will debut a new series called The Last Ship from producer Michael Bay. It is, of course, about the crew of a naval destroyer trying to find a cure for a plague that's killed off most of the rest of the world, while the rest of the world tries to steal said cure. But that's not that fun part.

The fun part is how the TNT narrator describes the show in this trailer. Here is the entirety of his narration: "From Michael Bay. And TNT. Comes the explosive new series. The Last Ship. Sundays at 9, starting June 22nd. TNT Drama. BOOM."

Boom! Boom! That dude literally just says "boom," because it's TNT Drama, and what is drama if it's not the onomatopoeia for an explosion?! The narrator isn't going to talk about characters, it's not going to discuss the setting or the conflict, he's just going to say "Boom" and that should cover it. And the best thing is he's probably right — it's a Michael Bay show. We should probably have been summarizing all his works with "Boom" since the beginning

Anyways, The Last Ship looks like it's mostly about a boat shooting things and being shot at, along with assorted shots of scientist Rhona Mitra screaming about things. I'll pass, but no judgments if you're interested. Here's the official summary:

When a global pandemic wipes out eighty percent of the planet's population, the crew of a lone naval destroyer must find a way to pull humanity from the brink of extinction. The Last Ship is coming to TNT on Sunday, June 22nd at 9/8c.

Boom.
