The Walking Dead Escape event returned to San Diego Comic-Con for the third year in a row, with another exhilarating (and exhausting) course at Petco Park. And it really felt like surviving an actual zombie apocalypse, only with Batman at your side. Watch our video of the event, and see for yourself!

In the Walking Dead Escape, you have the option to participate as a Walker — which means you dress up as a zombie and infect some innocent victims. But we chose to run through with a pack of survivors.

You may go in thinking, "This is all fake. I'll be cool about this." But no. This is an incredibly well-produced event and as soon as you step through those gates, it's essentially a free-for-all with people running up and down stairs, ducking under tables and climbing over stadium states, often at another survivor's expense, desperately trying to make it through without getting touched by a Walker.

The Walking Dead Escape is actually a touring event, so even though Comic-Con has come and gone, you can still give it a go in Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville and New Orleans in the coming months. It does cost $75 to participate as a survivor, but it is well worth it. This is, hands down, the best thing I did at San Diego Comic-Con 2014. Watch the video, and see for yourself!
