I only download illegally when I cannot get what I want legally. I'd rather spend the $1.99 and get it quickly and instantly downloaded onto my iPod than go through the rigamarole of pirating. Last year, when I discovered "30 Rock," I went through and bought a full half-season of the show and consider it worth every cent. This year, if and when I decide to go back and check out my friends' new favorite show, "Chuck" -- honestly, I'm not sure I care enough even to pirate it, which means NBC at least lost my money and may have lost a future viewer entirely.

I downloaded all of season 1 of Heros after it all aired because I didn't want to come into it half way through and be completely confused- and I was in need of some English TV in another country. And then I watched all of season 2 on broadcast. Just wondering if that's a trend for shows where the downloaders are in the same country as it originally airs.

As for the Doctor ... Canada helps fund the production, yet it doesn't air at the same time as the UK, and the US broadcast is after Canada. Distribution can't be that hard.

But guess what? NBC backed out of iTunes this is true. But they are backing something called Hulu, and guess what else? You can watch every episode of Heroes season 2 on it, right now its in private beta, but once its open to the public you can be sure it will see a lot more traffic.
