@EncephelanetRepairHelperGuy: No, Germ's been open for a few years at least. It USED to be on Girard (a few friends of mine lived right above it), but it has since moved to Frankford.

It's in the fishtown area of Philly, near Johnny Brenda's (#1 hipster bar). It was known as the creepy little book store that always had weird people going in and out of, so you can imagine how great it is (though I've never been in there).

If you go to Fishtown, stop by... beer's on me!
