Yep, these have been around for awhile, but WHO CARES?

Well, the all do, but Hawkgirl and Aquaman look especially fantastic -- very different from their "real" selves but completely identifiable and beautifully steampunk'd.

@Annalee: Gizmodo and Kotaku do it fairly often, but I have not witnesses much cross over here yet.

Like I said, I don't mind much, just so it doesn't turn into the same 3 sites with different titles at the top.

Keep up the good work by the way! I find myself more drawn to io9 more than any of the others, at this point.

this was on Gizmodo first, yes. About the whole thing, he DIDNT MAKE the Batman, i know because i hae the same figure, he probably mad esome painting job, but just that. Grat work on the oter figures, i love the Hawk Girl and the Martian Manhunter. I wish i could oprder the whole set (sans Batman wich i already have)

I think Batman, Flash, and Green Lantern translate pretty well. Supes... eh. Wonder Woman... I think the hair is wrong but other than that. Martian Manhunter is just not going to look good no matter what. Hawkgirl doesn't look like she's going to get off the ground -- should have gone with more Leonardo-esque wings. And does Aquaman look a lot like Kirk Douglas?
