The ability to act should be expected from EVERY actor in ANY movie. (no matter how delightfully scrumptios they may be). It's tragic that as a culture we've learned to accept less.
Fact is, in a fantasy/sci-fi/action flick, you need the talent to be very sound. Otherwise the actors are easily overshadowed by the effects.
