To be honest, I have a hard time going back to Dr. Who period. I watched (and read it) religiously back in my teens, but rewatching the old episodes has been painfull, as they have not aged well for me. Even more painful for me is watching the other doctors...

I do mean to give it another chance, but I have to be in the right frame of mind, me thinks.

I guess they were trying to convey the sense of whimsy he brought to the Doctor, but somehow, it doesn't really work. :/
