The new direction in the story line is great! I think it is a perfect description of what could happen and what could go wrong if such a situation were to present itself.

Honestly, I think that some of the pundits and current government administration could stand to take a few notes from this show!

I absolutely love this show and so do all of my friends. I hope it continues for several more seasons - it absolutely deserves to! So what if some critics don't like it - who listens to them?!?! The FANS are the ones that BUY the products that are advertised while the show is on (via television and online), not the critics! Long live Jericho!

jackiek71

I thought this week's episodes was one of the best of the entire series. It's good to hear others saw the show when it was telling a compelling story and showing the nuance of this strange new world.

Pouncer

That's good news! I don't think season 1 was the best example of television, but it was pretty cool; season 2 is kicking ass, however, and imo the show deserves a third season.

Mister Adequate

@choinski: There was a comment last week about her going to be with her sister in a near by town.

I do not like how the new government has been constructed out outright evil. The Post-Vietnam Victimhood of the new government is going to get real old real fast. The great thing about the 1st season was that no on was outright evil, even Constantino had a reason for becoming an motherfucker of a dictator.

And Heather was back - WOO

thesupermikey

I had no interest in Season One, but I'm hooked now. It's really zipping along. And like all good sci-fi, it's a nice, dark mirror of the present day.

saketini99

Yeah, niche shows are becoming the norm. Everyone gets into their set of shows and thats all. No single show supremely dominates the market anymore. Well, minus American Idol or some other un-reality show.

JoeyTheHobo

@choinski: She's in one episode this season I believe. She's supposed to be morning the loss of her husband though, which is understandable - in real life they simply had to cut back on the actress's' appearances due to the shorter season.

Apparently Jericho is one of the few series with a genuine plan for it's direction - Season One was basically about saving the town and the struggles within it, while Season Two is about saving the nation, and Season Three (should it happen) is about saving the world.

PriorMarcus

@PriorMarcus: I think networks have to realize that lots of people are finding niche shows now and not this high profile "friends" shit that everyone used to watch. It still pulls in something like 8 million viewers? (I think that was what io9 quoted after it came back) is pretty damn good for a show not everyone will enjoy.

Log1c

It sagged a little at first, but I think they're getting it back. I was worried that they would'nt have that frontier spirit that made the end of the first season so exciting (and violent), but it looks like that energy will be moved from survival to being rebels. They've still got me.

Grrsn Dn
