@Gomi: Whenever I hear the radio ads for this film, I think it's a commercial for a re-release or the DVD for Sparta. I am of the firm belief that there is a audio software program that analyzes sound bites/songs that are popular/from hit movies, and then can choose something that sounds like that. Like how "Girlfriend" by Avril Lavigne sounds like "Hey Micky", and "Welcome to the Black Parade" sounds like "We Are the Champions".

OMG. OMG. OMG. Yawn....
Did somebody forget to tell the filmmakers this movie already exists and totally kicks ass?
Why on Earth would anybody pay to see this when they've already got The Road Warrior at home? ON DVD and Blu Ray, no less. Is there such a dearth of ides in science fiction that this is the best they can do? After Children of Men, I expected more from the Brits.
Plus, no Vernon Wells. Fuck that shit.
Maybe they can run a double feature with this and Waterworld on MST.
I'll be home watching Children of Men again, thank you very much.

@Plague: Sorry, I probably used to but I moved up to Seattle a year ago. Haven't looked back. I miss good Mexican food, Amoeba, and The Arclight. As an aside....

Encore cable network is showing the original Mad Max this month. It's not that much different to watch it with Mel Gibson's real voice, but it is most likely a better movie then this one.

I am still going to see this one mind you, but I know it is not going to be as good.
