I see a TV show as entertainment supported by the advertising, which can be ignored easily enough.

Almost every ARG I've encountered is advertising in an of itself. It's selling the TV show or whatnot. That's fine if the ARG is entertaining but 99% of the ones that I have encountered do not offer a reward enough to compensate the time spent..

I'm just speaking from personal experience. I mean, I watch entertaining commercials, I have nothing against advertising as entertainment.
