Absolutely right, worst episode of Torchwood, hands down. Even that eminent critic, my spousal unit, agrees. "like a really bad Doctor Who episode"..."it made no sense".

I think we stopped paying attention about 10 minutes in, never a good sign.

IIRC, back when "Smallville" started (the late 1940's, it seems), they said he was never ever gonna fly or wear the outfit. Whoops.

I gotta admit, I like "New Amsterdam". There's some good acting here and there and our quasi-immortal hero is easy on the eyes. Of course FOX will cancel it soon, so I'm enjoying the entertaining diversion for now.

I can't find the proof, but he said it. Tom Welling said if Clark ever flew in Smallville, the writers had run out of good ideas. So apparently, this is it. And after that Stride gum episode, I'm not surprised at all. The show really nose dived this season.
There have been some nice moments, namely when Lex has people assassinated. That's really dark stuff that the show should continue with. Otherwise, I think I'm gonna hop off the Smallville train now.

Wow. You broke down and mentioned New Amsterdam. You are seriously hard up for new science fiction.

But the Legion episode next week has connections to the old Superman animated series. They did an episode where Brainiac 5 has to tap into the first Brainiac and is obviously infected by him. They had the guy who did the voice from STAS come in to do it. Also for comics fans, when Brainiac 5 goes bad he creates the flying Brainiac skull.

I wish someone else besides me would go and find and read "Invisible Residents".

Printed in the late 60's and written by an ex-Navy analyst it has research that shows that there isn't a Bermuda Triangle...
Its more shaped like an elongated rectangle and actually extends all the way around the world with gaps in regular intervals. And whats even better is the fact that there is evidence of several bands like that wrapped the earth.

Its a great book written by an ex-military source using ships logs dating back to as far as there were ships with written log books.

Maybe SciFi can earn its name by picking it up... They already run the season 1 reruns. Plus it would actually be Science Fiction on Sci Fi! Go figure!

Also Rock Monster was hilarious, the 'random villagers that speak nearly perfect English" were fantastic. The main character guy was actually a decent actor for being in a shitty movie.
