More from the New Adventures novel line (1991-97) than the Big Finish audios, I suspect. Paul Cornell's "Human Nature" two-parter with Tennant was originally a New Adventures novel, and Russell Davies's first Who writing was the New Adventures novel Damaged Goods. The Seventh Doctor is a much darker and more manipulative bastard in the novels than in the audios I've heard so far.

Although... like I've theorized before... they have that parallel earth just sitting there. I originally suggested that Paul McGann's Doctor could get some closure by showing up as that reality's Doctor. (The 8th Doctor still, he just hasn't had to regenerate yet in that reality). Anyway, whos to say it couldn't be the 4th Doctor still kicking around in that Universe.

Having listened to all the BBC Doctor Who radioplays (which was hatched by some of the minds that eventually moved over to the new TV series - hell, they even lifted some of their own stuff for recycling) I'm all for the other doctors coming back. Two reasons;
a)"they're too old" naysayers aside, it's not like they're getting any younger. Dye some hair, cake on that make-up, fuzz that lighting, and go for it, I say.

b) I have no second reason, I just think it's a really good idea and wasn't paying attention when I was typing the first paragraph.

Oh, here's one - the Sylvester McCoy character got awesome in the radioplays. All the "I'm the guy that's had to make really hard people-will-die decisions" angst in the TV show was lifted from the McCoy radioplays.
