Yeah, gotta nip that problem in the bud before they start wearing the same clothes and cutting themselves. (I could've gone the "cheerleader clique" route with this comment, but I thought goth/cutter was more appropriate)

re Doctor Who: They could always up the game and have both Botched Regeneration Johm Simm Master AND Davros. That gives the Master a second appearance in a season finale (if RTD really is following a pattern, in which he uses the same villain twice for a finale, but adds another villain to make it bigger and badder than ever *cough*Dalek-Cybermenteamupwhat?*cough*). I think that solution would require too much explanation that the writers wouldn't want to spend the time to provide an adequate answer for....

John Simm's Master: COOL Master, but I totally couldn't buy into the show's explanation that the Time Lords gave him more regenerations.

Sabalom Glitz was fun. Tony Selby who portrayed him is 70 now according to imdb so the space pirate beard and codpiece might have to be worn by another, I'm thinking.

The Axons rumour is a strange one and seems to have been around for a while. They were mooted as possibly being in the Xmas 07 special. The Christmas issue of the BBC's Radio Times listings magazine, which ought to know better, explicitly said that they were. Might just be a function of the fan speculation echo chamber.

However if, as seems possible, we really do get the Sea Devils this series I will forgive Who pretty much anything. Even the new old companions and killer tic-tacs.

I'm not sure how I feel about the script for World War Z. I love Straczynski but in the book most of the people that were interviewed were hopeful for the future after having survived near annihilation. There were regrets about the way many people reacted to the outbreak but overall there was a message that the human race had survived near extinction and were looking to make a better world. Anyway, it should be fun to see it adapted to the big screen.
