I have no way of knowing how many of your readers are American and therefore won't see the end of Torchwood for 2 more weeks (at least not legally), but I'm gonna guess a lot. It's usually very easy to avoid British posts here - I see "Torchwood" or "Doctor Who" and I skip. And your wonderful tagging system makes it very easy to go back later.

But this headline, with this photo, pretty spoiler-ific and not appreciated.

I have to say I'll miss Tosh, mostly because she could have developed more as a character, Owen from THIS season I'll miss, had he died LAST season I wouldn't have been nearly as upset.

I'm sorry, but is it me? or does Gwen's ex-partner seem more gay-catty than even Ianto? :P I swear he's only upset that Rhys married Gwen because he's secretly lusting after Rhys and can't come to terms with it!

]]> <![CDATA[Down But Not Out of Torchwood?]]> I think Jack's clothes and mental health must have regenerated as well as his body while he was buried - he was dying and waking up repeatedly for two thousand years, and he seemed FINE.

Even though I'd been spoiled for it, Tosh and Owen's deaths had me in TEARS. I've liked the characters all along, but Owen's been especially interesting since he, uh, died that other time, and became King of the Weevils. Of course, in the Who-niverse, nobody's really definitely dead for sure, right?

I greatly enjoyed FEROCIOUS Eye Candy threatening Captain John.

]]> <![CDATA[Down But Not Out of Torchwood?]]> How much do you want to bet Owen and Tosh's salaries equal what they'll be paying James Marsters - John - next season? I think they only reason they got rid of them was so Russell can introduce an unneccesary and story-detracting love triangle between Jack, John, and Ianto. Why do I think this? Because Ianto aside from his relationship with Jack is the most pointless mutant... I mean character. Owen and Tosh have powers/uses but Ianto is only there for the relationship factor.

All in all while I find Torchwood watchable the episodes are largely forgettable and it leaves me longing for more drama I care about - not poorly written relationships that seem forced between team members.

I have to admit some of my favorite moments from the season WERE the direction they were taking with Owen as well as with Tosh (not so much their relationship but that was at least believable as it was built up over time). Tosh's background was cool as was Owen's, but they should have introduced them at the beginning of the season so we cared about them more for a longer period of time. Tosh always came off as insecure and Owen slimey or shallow until their fates had been sealed and we actually had a chance to care about them.

My favorite/most memorable episodes of the season - Meat, A Day in the Death Of, Adrift, and Fragments. Fragments only ranks for the back stories, and Something Borrowed would have ranked if it wasn't such a blatant rip-off of an Angel episode.

Tosh's and Owen's backstories I liked but Ianto's I didn't because with his Torchwood past it should have been better. After all he'd been hiding his ex-cybergirlfriend in the basement. The season finale didn't rank for me because it seemed the whole purpose was just to kill off Tosh and Owen, but I did like Jack being entombed for a couple thousand years and being found by the steampunk Torchwood.

I don't think Tosh was bland, I think they just weren't quite sure how to approach her. I think she was a really good representative of an introverted geek girl. Not every woman has to be the adventurous party girl to be interesting.

I think they were just starting to find ways to explore her, and I am sad she is gone. I even started liking Owen a bit, but I'm much less heartbroken about him.

I agree, the final conversation between Tosh and Owen, especially the part where she stops his tantrum, was really well done. It was believable, and you could feel a lot of emotion from the actors.

Gwen.. Meh. The show needs her, but that said, I am not a huge fan. I like Rhys more.

Ianto is my favourite. And will, henceforth, be known as 'Eye Candy' for me.
