@JennaW: Dang right! Lois McMaster Bujold invented them in "Falling Free" and got the Nebula award for that novel in 1988. Then she brought them back again in "Diplomatic Immunity" in 2002.

that's not a poster...it's early pre-prod art...
"had to shave her head and also wear weird clothes that allow the VFX crew to superimpose effects on her body, especially her legs below the knees."
no weird clothes...unless you count 'blue' as weird.

You know what a shocking twist would be on Smallville? If anyone ever did anything anyone else ever asked or told them to do. EVER. i.e. If Clark just didn't go to Lionel's funeral. That would be a shocker.

@braak: From the side she looks great, but one of the shots of her as a little kid is really creepy. It looks like her head was spliced together from two slightly over-sized heads, and just looks....wrong.

I suppose thats the point though, making her look almost perfect, but then adding a dash of "ugh."

I have bad feeling about this Splice's potential, however. The poster looks far too much like a mix of Species and Alien. Most people are going to look at this poster and think "Eh, another crappy creature film"
