I'm excited for it. People who watch Speed Racer and expect some sort of profound movie to be based on it, aren't watching the same Speed Racer.

It's delightfully different than those other too-serious cartoon adaptations.

@Spideyrex: Unfortunately, the closest IMAX is doing a one-weekend only showing. It happens to be on a weekend where I have to juggle, two graduations, mothers day, a birthday, and my wife's fraternity's alumni day, so I don't think I'll get to trip my senses to overload that way. Unfortunately.

I have to admit I can't see how Speed Racer will fail for me. Racer X is bad ass! The movie will either hit the right, over the top nerve or will be sooo cheesy, it will hit Team America levels of awesomeness.

This is a movie that must be seen in Imax for the full stimulus overload.

I'd never have thought I'd get excited about something like Speed Racer. But, damnit, I have! Even Matthew Fox looks cool in it, and that's no easy feat!
I've never seen anything Speed Racer-related, I don't even remember anything about it from when I was a kid (don't even know if we had it here). Should be interesting!

I really wonder what Davros is going to look like... I really like what they've done with the Sontarans (and also the Cybermen); vastly improved designs. I assume Davros'll be coolified too.

That gas theory, I started reading it and thought I was going to read a real theory. Bit confused there for a second!
