Big Bang is far more fun and interesting to the kind of people who I imagine read io9 than three quarters of the shows that are mentioned here. The Big Bang writers don't just throw in a bunch of nerd and scientific terminology and clichés. They seem to actually get it, so that even when it's silly, it's a smart kind of silly.

Looks like the show runs too long for a 30 minute slot, so they rip some of it out (an amusing bit with Maria's mother from Friday's Gorgon show).

Monday is a slow scifi night and there is plenty of sciency goodness to go around. Just last week the characters won a time machine on ebay and faced off against morlocks. Not literally but the characters are odes to fanboys and science nerds everywhere and I wish IO9 would give it more appreciation.
