Claire's hanging out with daddy's ghost (but not confirmed to be either alive or dead), and from the spoiler for this week's episode it sorta looks like Jin will be one of the people who leaves the island, thus setting him up to either be one of the Oceanic Six, or dead before they get back.

This new TF series is actually really cool for us G1 fans, because it contains tons of references to the original series, but it's not a direct retelling at all. The Constructicons will also be appearing in an upcoming episode (pics were leaked in a similar fashion), but there's only two of them and they don't combine into anything.

Anyway, it's good to see the show finally getting covered on io9. It's not exactly my dream Transformers series, but it's the best one we've had in years.

Claire, on the other hand, just went MIA, leaving her baby in Sawyer's care. Somehow that results in Sawyer asking favors of Kate and giving her the baby to raise in the real world.

]]> <![CDATA[The One Battlestar Plot Twist You Never Expected]]> Some of the Doctor Who stuff sounds plausible, and Planet Gallifrey's additional detail that Rose and Donna are using Rose's knowledge of the TARDIS plus Donna's driving skills make me think there could be a degree of truth in this -- it does seem to build on little bits that we've already seen. Other parts are harder to buy: Harriet Jones stowed away on the Valiant for a year? The Master's ring as a thing of power that can splinter the dimensions? HJ figuring out how to use the ring in such a way?

I don't know...

Unlike most of their reset switch plotlines, that offers a new, interesting plot hook.

Not that I think RTD would actually use that hook in a constructive way.

I mean, if that spoiler is true, RTD is taking a character that nobody misses, turning them into a Big Bad Villain, and has the Daleks teaming up with other Big Bads (despite the previous fight with the Cybermen which demonstrated that the Daleks don't team up; it's not like they can pull a Cult of Skarro here- Davros wouldn't go for that), and putting it all in a blender set to "Suck".

This is presumably Rachel Dawes (Maggie Gyllenhaal). This will also give Batman something else to angst over, since she's his old flame and his "hope for a normal life."

Every since about mid-last season I've been expecting a conclusion in which Cylons and Humans cooperate, in order to provide a demonstration of how similar they are. The old "people are people, even if some people are related to toasters" trick.

There were basically two alternatives: they continue to fight, forever or they gain a mutual understanding and respect and work together in some capacity.

Adama and Roslin in love? That's not surprising at all. I mean c'mon. Roslin. Schwing! She's a total babe: brainy, gorgeous, sensitive to her friends but tough. Who WOULDN'T fall for that?

It's not like she's a frakkin' Cylon, after all.
